**Disclosure: The trailer isn’t meant to be “filled to the top.” The tall sides are there for excess protection from material flying out. The cylinder will **NOT *lift if it is overloaded. Do not call us and tell us it’s junk and won’t lift if you have it overloaded. While the payload for HAULING is 11,500lb, the lifting capability is only 8,000lbs. It will not fully lift if you are over that weight. If you want it to actually dump: DO NOT fill above the ‘Max Load’ line and do not exceed 8,000lbs of material (which may be well below the max load line depending on the material). MATERIAL SUCH AS DIRT, MULCH, AND GRAVEL WEIGH FAR MORE THAN YOU’D THINK SO LOAD WAY LESS THAN YOU THINK! (For reference: 8,000lbs of gravel is approximately 7” filled tall for this dump trailer, WELL below the max fill line.) Think about what material you are hauling and the weight of that material before deciding how much to load. Pro tip: favor the material toward the rear for better chance of dumping.
